Detectives investigating a death on the railway at Banbury railway station are today appealing for any witnesses.

Officers were called Banbury railway station at 7.27am on Friday 9 October following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, however, sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have been informed, and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of his death.

They are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a man on a red bicycle near Banbury railway station between 5am and 7.27am on the morning of Friday 9 October.
