Appeal for witnesses after fight on-board train between Derby and Sheffield

Detectives are today appealing for witnesses after a fight took place on-board a train travelling from Plymouth to Leeds on Friday 11 September.

On-board the service, as it left Derby station at 8.45pm on 11/09, two men began fighting in Coach C.

Both men threw multiple punches and kicks, causing visible injuries to one another and significant distress to other passengers travelling on the service.

As passengers were moved from Coach C by the train manager, the fight continued into the vestibule at the rear of the coach.

Both men were arrested by officers on suspicion of affray as the train arrived in Sheffield at 9.20pm.
