British Transport Police are today releasing a CCTV image after a common assault on a member of railway staff within Barking railway station, London.

The incident happened at 6.21pm on Saturday 16 May.

The suspect was reportedly challenged by security staff at the station for not having a valid ticket. She then assaulted the member of staff.

Officers would like to speak to the woman in the image who may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who knows her is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.
