Appeal after man pulled victim towards tracks at Mile End Underground Station - London

British Transport Police are today appealing for more witnesses after an assault at Mile End Underground station, London.
The incident happened at 8.25pm on Thursday 9 April on the Eastbound platform of the station.
The suspect is reported to have grabbed a man and tried pulling him towards the live tracks.
A witness intervened, broke the suspect’s grip and restrained him on the floor.
A 40-year-old man from Barking was arrested in connection and has since been released on bail, however officers wish to speak to further witnesses to establish the full circumstances behind the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.
