British Transport Police are today releasing images of a woman following an assault that took place on a Scotrail train travelling from Dalmuir to Motherwell in Scotland.

The incident happened on Saturday 21 December on the 11.03pm service as the train passed between Dalmuir and Carmyle stations.

Police believe the woman in the images may have information that can help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises her is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.

In both cases, quote reference number 743 of 21/12/19.
