Witness appeal following violent assault - London

Detectives are today appealing for witnesses following a violent assault at West Ham station. 
On 2nd January at around 9.30pm, the two victims, aged 21 and 23, were stood outside West Ham station when they were approached by three men armed with a knife and a bottle.  
They victims were assaulted repeatedly, sustaining head injuries which required hospital treatment. They have since been discharged.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail while enquiries continue. 
A knife was recovered from the scene by officers.
