Witness appeal after assault - North Yorkshire

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an assault at Thornaby station, North Yorkshire, left a man with serious injuries.
On 9th November at around 6.45am, two men left a Middlesbrough bound train and were walking out of Thornaby station when one man punched the other.
The man continued to walk out of the station, leaving the victim, a 44-year-old man, unconscious on the floor until an ambulance arrived.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains, having suffered a serious head injury.
A 39-year-old man was arrested in connection to the incident and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue. 
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have seen the men together on the train beforehand, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 193 of 09/11/19.
