Man injured after being hit with glass bottle around the head – Pople and Wareham, Hampshire

Officers investigating an assault, where a man was struck around the head with a glass bottle, are today releasing CCTV images in connection. 

The incident happened on board a train travelling between Poole and Wareham at approximately 11.50pm on 28 August. 

During the course of the evening, the victim, a man in his twenties, had various altercations with two other unknown male passengers. 

As the train travelled between Poole and Wareham, the violence escalated and resulted in the victim being struck around the head with a glass wine bottle. The victim required stitches to his face and neck as a result of the attack. 

Both suspects then remained on the train and left at Wool station.
