British Transport Police are today releasing an image after reports of an assault and racist comments on a train in the West Midlands.

The incident happened at 8.20pm on Saturday 10 August between Worcester and Stourbridge Junction stations.

A large group of men and women, who had been at a festival in Worcester, are reported to have been making racist comments.

A passenger challenged their behaviour and asked them to stop. She was then threatened by a woman from the group.

When the victim went to leave the train at Stourbridge a woman from the group punched her in the face three times. The victim suffered two black eyes and swelling.

Anyone who recognises the woman in the image is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 591 of 10/08/19.
