CCTV images released after man suffers stab wound - East Croydon

Do you recognise this man?

Detectives investigating a stabbing at East Croydon station on Saturday morning (24/08) would like to identify him in connection.

At around 11.30am, an altercation broke out between the victim and a man in the station which then spilled out into the taxi rank on Billington Hill.

The victim, a man in his thirties, sustained a stab wound to his neck. He was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.

He is believed to have sustained his injury from broken glass.

The man came back into East Croydon station and boarded a train with a female companion who had dark hair and was wearing a white and black striped top and dark bottoms.                                                                               

Officers would like to appeal for the woman to come forward and help their investigation as it is believed she witnessed the altercation.

Officers also believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.
