Man charged with attempted murder after attack with a hammer at All Saints DLR station - London

A man has been charged with attempted murder after an attack with a hammer at All Saints DLR station, London.
 
The incident happened at 10.43pm on Monday 29 July.
 
The victim, aged in his 30s, was hit over the head with the weapon and suffered fractures to his skull. 
 
He was then pushed onto the tracks but managed to climb back onto the platform and escape. 
 
His injuries were described as not life-threatening or life-changing. He has since been released from hospital.
 
Stephen Cope, 30, of no fixed address, was arrested on Friday 2nd August.
 
He has since been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon and is due to appear at Highbury Magistrates Court today (05/08).
