Appeal for woman who broke up fight at St John's Wood station – London Underground

BTP officers are appealing for further information following a fight at St John’s Wood station on the London Underground.

The incident happened just after 3.15pm on Tuesday 11 June.

A group of youths are reported to have stopped an escalator at the station. A number of girls then ran down the escalator and started a fight with a girl.

The girl was hit with a belt.

A member of the public split up the fight. Officers attended and interviews have been arranged with a number of those involved.

Investigators are keen to gather further information about the incident. They would especially like to gain the witness account of the woman who split up the fight.

The woman is described as white, with long dark hair and wearing a beige or tan coloured mid length coat and black leggings or jeans. She was accompanied by a young child aged between 8 and 10-years-old.
