Man punched more than 20 times at St Austell station, Cornwall

BTP officers investigating an assault at St Austell station in Cornwall are appealing for further information.

The incident happened at 2.59am on Sunday 5 May.

A man is reported to have attacked another man inside the station, punching the victim more than 20 times and fracturing his jaw.

The suspect then left the station and entered a taxi with two other men.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was hospitalised for five days and required surgery.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his early 20s, of a slim build, and with dark, short hair.

He is reported to have been wearing a black t-shirt with a thin white band across the chest and upper sleeve.
