Man fell onto tracks after being punched at Coatbridge Sunnyside station – Scotland

BTP officers investigating a serious assault at Coatbridge Sunnyside station in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, are appealing for further information.

The incident happened at 2.35pm on Thursday 11 April.

A man is reported to have punched a man in the face causing him to fall onto the tracks. The two had been arguing beforehand.

The victim suffered a serious head injury.

The suspect is described as white, 16-years-old, of slim build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, grey jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. They would also like to speak to the two women who were with the suspect at the time of the incident.
