Woman thrown off tube and punched at Clapham South – London Underground

BTP officers are appealing for further information following an assault at Clapham South station on the London Underground.
The incident happened on platform 1 at 8.30am on Monday 18 March.
A man is reported to have grabbed a woman as she attempted to board the train. He then pushed her out of the carriage and punched her in the face.
The man is described as black, 5ft 9, 40-years-old, with a stocky build and a shaven head.
He was wearing a blue padded jacket with a fleece collar, dark trousers, and was carrying a rucksack and a newspaper. 
It is believed the suspect boarded the train at either Tooting Bec or Balham stations. 
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 113 of 18/03/19.
