Appeal after officer injured at Seven Sisters station – London

BTP officers are appealing for further information following an assault which resulted in an off-duty police officer suffering injuries at Seven Sisters station in London.

The incident happened at 8.10am on Saturday 6 April.

The off-duty BTP officer had been attempting to escort a man from the station having witnessed him begging. 

The man refused to leave the station and assaulted the Officer.  The man then resisted attempts by the Officer to arrest him.   

Whilst attempting to detain the man, the Officer fell down a set of stairs at the station and suffered broken ribs and other injuries.

A 29-year-old man from Enfield has since been arrested on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm with intent. He has been released on bail until Wednesday 1 May.

Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses, especially those who are believed to have filmed the incident. That footage may include key evidence.
