Police officer reinstated at the Force - London

A police officer, who was previously dismissed from British Transport Police after an independent misconduct hearing, has been reinstated following a Police Appeal Tribunal.

PC Kerry Reynolds, who is based in London, was previously dismissed from the Force after answering allegations that he breached the standards of professional behaviour, namely Use of Force.

In April 2016, Reynolds was accused of using excessive force when making an arrest  at King’s Cross station, this was subject to an independent investigation by the IPCC (now the Independent Office for Police Conduct).

A tribunal on 5 April 2019 agreed that PC Reynolds actions were excessive however, they assessed that his sanction should be a final written warning and not dismissal.
