BTP officers investigating an assault on the London Overground are today releasing CCTV images.

The incident happened at 8pm on Sunday 16 December.

A man is reported to have launched an unprovoked assault on a teenage boy and knocked him to the ground while on a train between Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction rail station.

The man then poured a bottle of water over the victim.

The suspect left the train at Norwood Junction station and left via the Clifford Road exit.

A number of enquiries have been carried out to locate the suspect; however officers would now like to appeal for the help of the public.

They believe the man in the images may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 452 of 16/12/18.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
