BTP officers investigating the damage of a ceramic poppy at York railway station are today releasing CCTV images. 

The incident happened at 9.28pm on Saturday 23 March.

A man is reported to have approached the British Legion Poppy Wreath and snapped it in half.

He was reported to have been very irate and in a group of seven to nine other men. The group left the station in taxis at 10.10pm.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the man, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 706 of 25/03/19.
