Appeal for more information after teenager punched and pushed onto tracks at Hykeham station – Lincolnshire

BTP officers are appealing for further information after a teenage boy was punched and pushed onto the tracks at Hykeham station in Lincolnshire.

The incident happened at 2pm on Monday 18 March.

A 16-year-old boy from Lincoln has been arrested in connection with the offence; however officers would like to speak to other witnesses at the scene. 

They would specifically like to speak to a man wearing a baseball cap and carrying a white gym bag who helped pull the victim back onto the platform.
A train was approaching the station at the time but managed to stop.

The victim suffered a minor head injury as a result of the assault. The victim and the suspect were both known to each other.

The 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of GBH and endangering safety on the railway. He has been released on bail until Wednesday 10 April.
