Appeal after fight on train between Sheffield and Chapeltown – South Yorkshire

BTP officers are appealing for further information after a report of a fight on board a train in South Yorkshire.

The incident happened between 3.35pm and 3.53pm on Saturday 9 March on the Sheffield to Chapeltown service.

A group of three men are reported to begun fighting with a man once the train had left Meadowhall station. 

A number of punches were thrown. No injuries have been reported.

The three men are described as white with one aged in his 40s and wearing a blue scarf. The second was aged in his 30s and was wearing a red baseball cap. The third is described as bald and wearing glasses.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the fight.
