Update: Arrest made in connection to racially offensive video - Northern Line, London

Officers investigating a hate crime on board a Northern Line train in London, have today made an arrest in connection. 
 
The incident happened on board a service travelling between Stockwell and London Bridge. 
 
British Transport Police were first made aware of the incident after a video was posted on social media on 9 March. Following this, a 24-year-old man from Wandsworth was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries and police investigation. 
 
Officers continue to ask for witnesses to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 711 of 09/03/2019.
