£8000 saxophone stolen from Croydon-bound train – London

BTP officers are today releasing CCTV images following the theft of a valuable saxophone on board a Croydon-bound train.

The incident happened at 8.27pm on Friday 1 February.

A woman is reported to have taken the saxophone from the overhead luggage rack and left the station at East Croydon.

The saxophone is believed to cost around £8000.

Officers believe the woman in the image may have information that could help their ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognises the woman, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 290 of 03/02/19.
