Man hit with a bottle at Hinckley rail station – Leicestershire

BTP officers are today releasing CCTV images following an  assault where a man was hit with a bottle at Hinckley station, Leicestershire.

The incident happened at 10.49pm on Saturday 15 December 2018.

Three men are reported to have approached two men on the Leicester-bound platform. 

They then repeatedly punched one of the men before hitting him in the face with a bottle. The victim suffered a fractured eye socket and required surgery.

The second victim was also punched and suffered minor injuries.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released pending further enquiries.

Officers believe the men in the images may have information that could help their ongoing investigation.
