Failed attempt to break open a ticket machine at Marks Tey – Essex

BTP officers are today releasing CCTV images following a report of theft and criminal damage at Marks Tey station in Essex.

The incident happened between 2.37am and 2.45am on Tuesday 4 December 2018.

Two men used tools in a failed attempt to break open a ticket vending machine. They then broke off the machine’s “Bluetooth” card reader and left the area.

The machine was out of order for several weeks.

Officers believe the men shown in these CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation. 

Anyone who recognises the men, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 86 of 04/12/18.
