Man threatened to stab woman at Ton Pentre station – Wales

Officers are appealing for more information after a man threatened to stab a woman at Ton Pentre railway station in Wales.

The incident happened between 7.15pm and 9.15pm on Monday 21 January. 

It began on a platform at Ton Pentre station then continued on board a train heading towards Cardiff Central station.

The man threatened to stab the woman then threatened a train guard. No weapon was witnessed throughout the incident. 

The suspect left the train at Ystrad Rhondda station.

A 40-year-old man from Rhondda Cynon Taff in Wales has been arrested in connection with the incident. 

He has been released on bail until Tuesday 19 February.
