Man racially abused on train between Chesterfield and Sheffield

Officers are today releasing a CCTV image of two men they wish to speak to following a report of racial abuse on board a train between Chesterfield and Sheffield.

The incident is reported to have happened at 3.30pm on Friday 30 November 2018 on the Plymouth to Glasgow service. 

Two men are alleged to have boarded the train at Chesterfield station and racially abused a man and threatened him with violence in coach D. 

Another man attempted to intervene but was also verbally abused.

The men then left the train at Wakefield Westgate station.

Officers believe the men shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
