Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a violent altercation in Hull station left a man with life-threatening injuries. 
 
On 15 December at around 9.50pm, a disturbance began between several men close to the taxi rank. 
 
One man was pursued into Hull station, where the violent altercation continued. 
 
Shortly afterwards it was established that one of the group of men, a 21-year-old, received life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing.
 
He was rushed to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is now in a stable condition.
 
Officers would like to reassure the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident, and additional patrols will be in place throughout the festive season.
