Appeal after school children racially abused – Gloucester to Bristol

Detectives investigating a hate crime where a group of school girls were racially abused on board a train are today appealing for information. 

Between 3.45pm and 4.20pm on 15 October, a man was sat close to a group of school girls and made a number of racially offensive comments. 

The incident happened on board a Gloucester to Bristol Parkway service. 

The guard on board the train reported the matter to police however none of the victims, believed to be four girls in their teens, have contacted police reporting the matter. 

If you were on board this train and were subjected to these comments, or witnessed what happened, please contact BTP. 

Likewise, officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate. If you know who he is, please get in touch.
