Do you know who this man is?

Officers investigating a staff assault at Leigh on Sea station are today releasing CCTV images in connection.

At approximately 6.30pm on 14 September, a man purchased a ticket and went to pass through the barriers. A member of staff assisted the man and then realised he had purchased a child ticket, despite clearly not being a child.

The man then attempted to barge through the barriers, however the member of staff blocked him, instructing him to buy the proper ticket.

The man’s aggression increased and he eventually grabbed the member of staff’s neck whilst pushing through the ticket barrier. He then boards a London bound train.

Officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate.
