Incident at Bond Street London Underground station now resolved

Officers were called to Bond Street London Underground station today at 6pm after reports that a man was in possession of an unlawful firearm.

 

Officers attended and a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Brent, have been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an unlawful firearm. Both men have been detained in custody.

 

There are no reported injuries and the incident is not being treated as terrorism.

 

The station – which was closed during the incident – has now been reopened.
