Shortly after 7pm today (07/08), officers were called to Tay rail bridge after a report of a man in a precarious position.

Specialist police officers are on scene and are being supported by Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service and the RNLI. Officers are speaking with the man and are working to get him to safety and away from danger as soon as possible.

To ensure that officers and emergency services can work safely, a number of rail services are likely to be disrupted. Please check with National Rail Enquiries and ScotRail before travelling.

We'd like to thank the public for their patience and understanding whilst we work.
