Do you recognise these men?

Officers would like to speak to them in connection to serious assault on the eastbound District Line platform at West Ham Underground station on 29 May.

At approximately 10pm, four men approached three male victims on board a Mile End to West Ham Train, asking them for travel advice.

After a brief conversation, the men became verbally abusive to the victims.

When the doors opened at West Ham station, one of the men punched one of the victims in the face. This caused the victim to fall backwards onto the floor platform, where he was then bitten by one of the other men.

When his friends tried to intervene they were also seriously assaulted.

One of the victims received a potentially life-changing injury to his eye and bites to his chest that pierced his skin. Another victim sustained a fractured toe.

Officers believe the men shown in these CCTV images may have information which could help the investigation.

Anyone with information should contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 704 of 29 May.  Alternatively, ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
