Do you recognise this man?

We’d like to speak to him after a woman was punched outside London Fields station.

At around 10.30pm on 26 May, two women were about to enter the station when a man blocked their way.

They asked him to move, which led to an argument.

The two women then decided to get a taxi instead and, on trying to leave, the man pushed one of the women.

When her friend intervened, he punched her in the face – leaving her with a broken nose and cut under her eye which required stitches.

She has since had reconstructive surgery on her nose.

Officers would like to speak to the man in this image as they believe he may have information which could help the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016, with reference 699 of 26 May.
