Officers investigating two bike thefts at Bristol Parkway station are today releasing CCTV images in connection.

The first bike was taken from the cycle racks at the station on 24 May at approximately 1.30pm. The second bike was taken on 27 May at approximately 12.50am.

On both occasions a man approached the racks opposite the bus stop, crouched near a bike and tampered with the lock. He then rode off with the bike once the lock was removed.

After numerous enquiries, officers now believe both incidents are linked.

Officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate.

Anyone with information can contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 222 of 12/06/2018. Alternatively, ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Unfortunately, bikes remain a popular target for opportunist thieves and we would like to remind cyclists of bicycle security. Remember to use strong, durable locks and ensure that your bike is registered at www.bikeregister.com
