Family tribute to man who died near line in Sutton Coldfield

The family of a 48-year-old man who was found dead near to railway in Sutton Coldfield on Sunday 3 June have paid tribute to him.

His partner, Iris, has described Dean Rhodes as a “beautiful soul”, who was “inspiration to everyone he knew during his life”.

She said: “Throughout his life he was an avid Birmingham City fan and he will be sorely missed by everyone in his family.

“Especially by his partner, his daughter and grandson who are truly devastated by the awful news of his death.”

His family have requested privacy whilst they come to terms with Dean’s death.

Further enquiries relating to his death are ongoing and officers from BTP await the findings from a post mortem.
