Officers investigating a report of racist and anti-social behaviour on a train between Leeds and Sheffield have identified two men they wanted to speak to about the offence.

A number of passengers were offended following the incident, which took place between 4.50pm and 5.05pm on 21 February and is believed to have involved a group of Leeds United fans.

Following an appeal in the media, a 38-year-old man has been interviewed about what happened and later released under investigation. A man in his 20s has now been eliminated  from enquiries.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and police continue to appeal for the identities of two other men as part of their investigation.
