Witnesses sought after member of staff spat at – Hattersley

Officers from BTP are appealing for witnesses to get in touch following an incident at Hattersley station where a member of staff was spat at.

At around 12.45pm on Saturday 14 April, three teenage boy entered Hattersley station and boarded a train on platform 2.

As the train departs, a member of the group spits at the train guard standing on the platform through an open window.

Though uninjured, the unprovoked attack left the station guard shaken.

Officers would be looking to identify any fresh witnesses who saw the group of boys. If you were at the station then please contact us as soon as possible.
