A man has been sentenced to 20 weeks in prison following one count of indecent exposure on board a train between Cambridge to Stevenage.

Alleyne Ackeron, aged 23, of Shephall View in Stevenage, appeared before Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 18 April and pleaded guilty to one count of indecent exposure in front of three women.

At around 2.30pm on Sunday 6 April, three women boarded a train from Cambridge to London Kings Cross station. Alleyne placed himself opposite the three women and began to touch himself inappropriately, leaving the three women no choice but to move carriage.

The incident was immediately reported, however Ackeron left the scene.

Officers from British Transport Police launched an investigation into the incident and the man was recognised by officers from the CCTV footage and was arrested soon after the incident.

In addition to the sentence, Ackeron has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years and ordered to pay a surcharge of £115 to the victims.
