We are appealing for information in relation to an incident of railway obstruction in Cleethorpes station.

The incident took place at around 1am on Tuesday 9 January.

A man entered the station and smashed a number of windows before boarding a train and smashing the train windows and dividers with a tool.

The estimated damage was £100,000.

The man was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark coloured coat with his hood up.

At around 1.20am on Tuesday 9 January, a man of the same description arrived at the Stagecoach depot at Victoria station and smashed windows with a tool. Officers believe these offences may be linked.

The estimated damage to the depot was £10,000.

Officers believe this may also be linked to a previous railway obstruction offence at Cleethorpes station on Wednesday 27 December where two men went onto the tracks pressing the stop plungers and causing severe delays to Trans Pennine Express trains.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in these areas around the time of offence.

Anyone with any information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 049 of 9 January.
