Sisters assaulted on train between Colchester and Harwich Town

Do you recognise these women?

Officers would like to speak to them in connection with an assault on a train between Colchester and Harwich Town.

Shortly before 6.10pm on Wednesday 14 March, two sisters were on the train and were talking and laughing.

They were approached by two women – believed to be mother and daughter – who told them to shut up, or else they would punch them.

After a further exchange of words, the victims were both assaulted with punches to the head and body, and clumps of hair were pulled out.

The assault left them both with bruising and other injuries.

The offenders got off the train at Harwich International station.

Officers would like to speak to the women in these images as it is believed they may have information which could help the investigation.
