BTP officers are appealing for information after a partially sighted woman was verbally abused on a train.

The woman was travelling on the 7.15pm Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street service on Monday (16 April).

During the journey, her mobile phone read out her incoming text messages to her – as she has a phone which is specially adapted.

A fellow passenger took exception to the noise and started shouting and swearing at the victim.

It left her badly shaken and distressed.

The offender left the train at Polmont Station and was described as a woman carrying a light canvas bag.

Were you on the train and did you see what happened? Or do you think you might have information which could help?
