BTP officers are continuing to appeal for information about disorderly behaviour which took place on a train between Carlisle and Whitehaven.

A number of people on the 5.10pm service on Sunday 18 March reported that a group of drunken men boarded the train at Carlisle.

Two of them started harassing people nearby, causing at least one passenger to move away from them.

When that same passenger walked past them later to get to the exit, the two men punched him several times.

A member of the public pulled the emergency cord and the victim left the train.

The offenders continued to harass people and threatened a man nearby, until Whitehaven.

We initially appealed for information in March, but would now like to speak to the men in these CCTV images, as it is believed they may have information which could help the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016, with reference 561 of 20 March.
