Man charged in connection with serious assault at Sheffield

A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault outside Sheffield railway station.
The incident took place on 11 April. A 39-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering a leg injury, consistent with having been stabbed following the incident.
Damien Crookes, 31 of Brightmore Drive in Sheffield was charged last night with Section 18 wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. He was remanded in custody overnight and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today.
