Neath – Arson

Officers are investigating an arson at Neath rail station.

The incident happened on 31 January at 2.30pm.

Staff at Neath station were alerted to a fire in the ladies toilets, which is situated on the platform.

The fire service attended and it is believed that the fire was started deliberately.

CCTV footage has shown that a woman entered the toilets and then exiting the toilets twice in the moments leading up to the fire.

The fire caused extensive smoke damage and damage to the rear of the cubicle.

Officers have now released an image of a woman they wish to speak with as they believe she may have information that could help with the investigation.
