Information sought following assault in Narborough – Leicestershire

Officers investigating an assault on board a Cross Country train are today appealing for witnesses to get in touch. 

The incident happened on board a service travelling between Leicester and Birmingham on the 14 March. As the service was at Narborough, a man became loud and abusive and was asked to leave the train by the guard. 

The man then punched the guard as he left the train. 

In connection with this a 18-year-old man from Wandsworth, London was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released under police investigation as enquiries continue. 

Officers are today appealing for any witnesses to this assault to get in touch. Did you witness this man’s behaviour, did you see the assault? Please contact officers.
