Appeal for information after GBH assault – Snow Hill, Birmingham

We are appealing for information after a member of rail staff was seriously assaulted at Snow Hill railway station.

The victim, a man in his forties, was walking out of the station at around 4pm on Wednesday (21 February) when he was pushed with force from behind.

He was pushed hard into an advertising board on a pillar.

The offender then ran away.

The victim sustained serious injuries including fractured ribs and a cut to the forehead which needed stitches.

There were numerous members of the public at the location at the time of the offence and officers would like to speak to them as they may have witnessed the incident.

A 28-year-old man from Birmingham has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 GBH with intent and released under investigation.
