Do you recognise these people?

We’d like to speak to them in connection with an assault on a train in Manchester.

The incident happened between 11pm and 11.35pm on Saturday 16 December.

The victim, a 38-year-old man, was on board the 11.10pm service from Manchester Victoria to Liverpool Lime Street. Whilst on the stationary train before it left the station, an altercation broke out and the victim was punched numerous times by three men.

He fell to the floor in the carriage and the three men continued to assault him by kicking and punching him.

They then left the train and ran out of the station.

The victim sustained injuries including a broken nose, bruised eye and other facial injuries and required hospital treatment.

Officers would like to speak to the men shown in the CCTV images as they may have information which could help with the investigation.
