We are appealing for information after a mobility scooter was stolen from outside Aylesbury railway station.

The theft took place between 10.15am on Sunday 10 December and 3pm on Monday 11 December.

The victim, a 46-year-old man, parked his mobility scooter at Aylesbury railway station next to the wall by the taxi rank.

Investigating officer, PC Chris Ure, said: “Due to the snow, the victim could not reach the normal parking area and had to leave his mobility scooter by the taxi rank. He was on his way to church at the time. When he returned to collect his mobility scooter the next day, it had been taken.

“The mobility scooter was given to the victim as a result of a grant from a charity. The loss of the scooter has deeply affected the victim.

“I would like to speak to anyone who may know anything about the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 163 of 22 January 2018.
