Teenage boy assaulted by group at Milngavie – East Dunbartonshire

Officers from BTP are appealing for witnesses to get in touch after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a group at Milngavie station. 

The incident happened at approximately 7.45pm on Saturday 4 November. 

A large group of men and women – in their teens – had just left a train at the station, up to ten of them then approached a 14-year-old. The teenager was then randomly attacked by the group, he was knocked to the ground where he was kicked and stomped on. 

The boy received multiple cuts and bumps to the head, one of which requiring five stitches. He also sustained a black eye.

Officers are now looking to trace those responsible for this unprovoked assault. 

The group are described as being  in their mid to late teens. There are no further descriptions available at this stage.
